Features

  • Required monthly contribution. Calculates the regular deposit needed to hit your target by the deadline, accounting for growth on your balance along the way.
  • Contribution and growth breakdown. Splits the result into how much you put in yourself versus how much your expected return adds, so you can see the effect of compounding.
  • Any currency you need. A currency selector applies the symbol you choose, since the underlying math is universal across currencies.
  • Instant and private. Calculations happen locally in real time with no upload, no account and no waiting.
  • Completely free. Every feature is available at no cost with no usage limits or hidden upsells.

Frequently asked questions

Is this savings goal calculator free to use?

Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up, no account and no usage limits.

Is my financial information private?

Yes. Every calculation runs locally in your browser. None of the numbers you enter are uploaded or stored on a server.

How does the calculator work out the monthly amount?

It uses a future value formula. Your current savings grow at the monthly equivalent of the annual return, and the tool solves for the level monthly contribution that, with its own growth, fills the gap to your target by the final month.

What does the expected annual return mean?

It is the yearly growth rate you assume on your balance, such as interest or investment returns. The calculator converts it to a monthly rate and compounds it. Returns are not guaranteed, so treat it as an estimate.

What if my goal is unrealistic for the timeline?

If the required monthly contribution looks too high, try extending the number of months, lowering the target, or increasing current savings to see what is achievable for you.

Can I change the currency?

Yes. A currency selector lets you display results in the symbol you prefer. The math is the same regardless of which currency you choose.

Is this financial advice?
