Privacy policy
Last updated 29 June 2026
Toolsbeaver is built around a simple promise: your files stay on your device. This policy explains what that means and what limited data we do and don’t collect.
Your files are processed locally
Every tool on this site runs entirely in your web browser. When you convert, compress, edit or otherwise process a file, that work happens on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We never see them. AI models are the only large asset downloaded — they are fetched once from a model host to your device and cached locally; your files are not sent back.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. We do not require accounts and we do not ask for personal information to use the tools. We may collect:
- Anonymous usage analytics. If analytics is enabled, we use a privacy-respecting measurement tool to understand which tools are used and to fix problems. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.
- Advertising cookies. If advertising is enabled, our advertising partner (Google AdSense) may set cookies to show relevant ads and measure performance.
Cookies, advertising and consent
Where required (for example, for visitors in the EU/EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies or showing personalised ads, using a consent management platform. You can change your choices at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in Google’s own privacy and advertising policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we don’t collect personal files or accounts, most requests relate only to cookies and analytics, which you control through consent settings. To exercise any right, contact us.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
