Is this percentage calculator free?

How does it calculate percentages?
For "X% of Y" it multiplies Y by X divided by 100. For "X is what percent of Y" it divides X by Y and multiplies by 100. For change, it takes the difference between the two numbers, divides by the original value, and multiplies by 100.
What's the difference between the three modes?
Use "percent of a number" to find an amount (15% of 80). Use "what percent" to convert a part and a whole into a percentage (12 of 60). Use "increase or decrease" to compare two numbers and see how much they changed.
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Enter the original number and the new number in the increase and decrease mode. The tool subtracts the old value from the new one, divides by the old value, and shows the result as a percentage, positive for an increase and negative for a decrease.
Can it handle decimals and negative numbers?
Yes, you can enter decimal values like 7.5% or 19.99, and percentage change can return a negative result when a number goes down.
