Pro is coming soon— unlimited batches, larger files and an ad-free experience. Everything here stays free.

How to use

  1. Upload your PDF. Drag and drop your PDF onto the page or click to select it. It loads straight into your browser with no upload.
  2. Set the margin percentage. Enter how much to trim off the edges, as a percentage. The same crop is applied to every page.
  3. Crop and download. Click crop and save the trimmed PDF to your device. Re-run with a different percentage if you need a tighter or looser fit.

Features

  • 100% private. Your PDF is cropped locally in your browser and never leaves your device, perfect for confidential or sensitive documents.
  • Removes borders and scanner edges. Trim away excess white margins, dark scanner edges, and uneven borders for a cleaner, tighter page.
  • Consistent across every page. One percentage crops all pages the same way, so your whole document stays uniform.
  • Free with no sign-up. No account, no install, and no watermark. Just open the page and crop as many PDFs as you like.
  • Fast and lightweight. Cropping runs instantly in your browser using pdf-lib, with no server round-trip or waiting in a queue.

When to use it

  • Trim wide white margins so a scanned document fills more of the page when printed or read on screen.
  • Clean up dark or uneven scanner edges on receipts, forms, and old paperwork.
  • Tighten margins on a confidential contract before sharing it, without anything leaving your device.
  • Prepare slides or reports for a tidier print layout by removing excess border space.
  • Standardize the look of internal documents before circulating them to a team.

Is it private?

Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and is never uploaded to any server.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF cropper free?

Yes, it's completely free with no sign-up, no install, and no watermark. You can crop as many PDFs as you want.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens locally in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. That makes it safe for confidential and private documents.

How does the cropping work?

You set a percentage to trim off the edges, and the tool sets a new crop box on every page using pdf-lib. The same trim is applied uniformly across all pages.

Does cropping permanently delete the content outside the crop box?

Not exactly. Setting the crop box hides the trimmed margins so they no longer display or print, but the underlying content technically remains in the file and could be recovered. Don't rely on it to strip sensitive information from the edges.

Can I crop each page differently or set exact dimensions?

No. This tool trims by a single percentage applied to every page, which keeps the document consistent. It doesn't support per-page crops or precise pixel dimensions.

Are there file size or format limits?

It works with standard PDF files and runs entirely in your browser, so very large files are limited mainly by your device's memory. Bigger documents may take a little longer to crop.
